Rather than working diligently on a quality post over the weekend, I instead decided to distract you all with shiny bells and whistles. Quite fitting for Valentine's Day, I'm showering you all, my dear valentines, with fancy materialistic soulless tangibles like a brand new blog design and new blog features. Consider it your box of fine chocolates!
However, if you don't actually visit the site and only see my posts through your reader, well then you're missing out, and I think we may just have to take our relationships down a notch and settle for being friends. For those of you that are here in the flesh, let me show you around a bit:
(1) Speaking of boxes of chocolate, I've added a chat box to the sidebar over there. Frankly, since I'm not a woman, there aren't many "box" jokes that seem fitting for me to make - nothing seems to sound quite right when it comes from me. Regardless, chat with me or amongst your classmates whenever you like.
(2) Hey, remember that annoying "Contact Dr. Cynicism" form I used to have? It had a special CAPTCHA puzzle that was harder to figure out than the notion of how Snooki got a book deal. Well, that headache is gone - instead I've bared my soul to you and opened up our line of communication in a more simplistic contact page.

(3) Search boxes are notorious for not working in Blogger. But not Dr. C's... the one up in the far top right corner actually functions. So you can search me all you want. Just none of that TSA pat-down stuff, unless you're
(4) Which reminds me, Happy Valentine's Day Mrs. Cynicism! Although you deserve Olympic gold medals, Nobel Prizes, 8 ft. tall trophies, and buckets of diamonds for being able to tolerate me, I hope you'll settle instead for occasional take-out dinners when we cheat at P90X, my psychotic family riddled with problems, a handmade ticket that promises 1 free back rub, and watching episodes of our favorite TV shows on Hulu. Wow, you're one lucky gal huh.

Sweet new digs, Dr C! The banner pic reminds me of a beautiful but incredibly sad photo series I saw recently, called "Detroit in Ruins." Well worth a look.
The only thing more offensive than a Snooki book deal is thinking of the type of people that might 'read' it.
